"I’m a former elite athlete, and even 15 years after retiring from Olympic-level competition, I still maintain a high level of fitness. Because of that, I was not expecting a dramatic reaction when I tried EWOT for the first time. My blood oxygen levels started at 99% and finished at 99%, and even with the altitude settings and a hard effort, I was not able to bring them down much. I also did not notice the same immediate changes in energy, breathing, or old training aches that some other people describe.
What I did notice was recovery. As an athlete and coach, I know how much recovery affects training quality. A hard three-hour paddling session would normally leave me wiped out for the rest of the day. After using a 15-minute EWOT recovery protocol, I felt ready to go again within a few hours. That is what stood out to me. For serious athletes, the value is not just in the session itself. It is in being able to recover better, reduce downtime, and come back prepared for the next training session.
I immediately understood the potential. Better recovery can support better training consistency, and better consistency can make a real difference over time. I wish I had EWOT when I was an elite athlete."
